Bobcat Endeavors: Club Activities at OSHS
Updated: Feb 27, 2023
Oliver Springs High School is home to many clubs and organizations. Some of these clubs include (but are not limited to): Engineering and Game Design, Student Council, and FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). Engineering and Game Design has come a long way in the past few years. Up until this year, it was only open to girls, but now the club is open to everyone who wants to join. They are starting a project called hydroponic gardening, which is a practical way of gardening without soil; it takes up less space. They are also talking about making LED filament designs; in other words, making LED signs. For the past three years, the club has also been working on a car. The members of FBLA are beginning to take tests the week of January 17th to see if they qualify for the Future Business Leaders of America competition. The Student Council is going to have a community potluck. This potluck is for the cherished community members like the Fire Department, the Police Department, and other city workers. They are doing this potluck during lunch time on February 1st in the Oliver Springs High School library. These are just a few of the many fantastic activities going on in the clubs at OSHS.
