Wouldn't you agree that our school has an amazing Student Council? They do heartfelt projects.for our community. They even get our whole school involved in these activities. The Student Council is back at it too! The OSHS Student Council is organizing a community potluck on February 1st, for the hard-working members of our community. Invitations have been sent out to the Oliver Springs Police Department, the garbage collectors, the fire departments (Marlow, Blair, Oliver Springs), and other community officials. The potluck will consist of many different foods and will be held in the library from 11:15 to 12:30. Some of the foods they will be feeding the members of our community are: chili, casseroles, potato soup, sandwich platters, etc. The council will also have to-go boxes and cups for those who would like to stop by but can not stay. The members of the Student Council could not be more excited to show support and love to the people who give their time and priorities to the terrific town we call home. Members of the Council: Madison Hooks (myself), Nicole Gann, and Emma Proffitt have worked with Mrs. Eva Robbins to coordinate and plan this special event. The rest of the Student Council members are deciding what to bring and helping out to make this event a success. There is nothing more rewarding than giving back to those who have given so much for us. So, what do you say? Isn’t the February project a fantastic idea? February - love is in the air... To those who would like to stop and eat with us, come on! There will be plenty of food. We hope to see some of you all there!
