Bobby Monday Elected Governor of Tennessee, Announces Bid For Presidency
In a shocking turn of events on Thursday, retired-ish Oliver Springs High School janitor Bobby Monday won the gubernatorial seat for the state of Tennessee. Many were blindsided by this sudden landslide victory, especially as nobody knew there was an election even happening. Coach Monday gave his first speech as governor of the state later that evening, thanking those who voted for him and harshly urging reporters to “get out of [his] house.” This moving address was followed with an even more bewildering announcement for Sir Robert Gene Monday, Esquire’s bid for the presidency.
This was met with overwhelming support from the press, leading many political experts to wonder what on earth was going on. Lord Bobby, Viscount Oliver has stiff competition in this race. Running as a candidate for the Mustardarian Party (the one of which he founded not two months ago), the Duke of Watt is facing seasoned politician and Blabla party elect Dwayne “The Rock'' Johnson, as well as Bebop party elect and former governor of California Danny Devito. Dr. Monday’s campaign manager, Sir Wesley Rather is confident in his candidate’s abilities. “It’s all about the grind,” he states in a press conference. “God bless America.”
Governor King Robert IV of the House of Monday, Baron Roane, is vague on his goals as governor. When asked at the Wartburg Speedway, he gruffly rebuffed reporters, shoving them aside as he retreated to the bleachers. Students at the high school he sorta kinda maybe retired from are ardent in their support for the Emperor of Prussia. “YEAH BOBBY! WOO!” said junior Ryleigh Crass when the news of his election reached the small school of under 300. The future of Tennessee, as well as the country, is uncertain. Robert the Conqueror is surely to bring a change to the government of this state - whether bad or good is undecided as of now.
